Every week we add a new recipe to our archive, giving you plenty of ideas and suggestions about how to get the best out of your weekly vegbox. With over 200 recipe ideas we hope you’ll have plenty of time to try the different ways to eat your vegetables.
Throughout the seasons the contents of your boxes change, with salads and stir fry vegetables in the spring and summer and more roots and greens in the winter for roasting and for making winter soups.

A lot of the inspiration for recipes comes directly from Guy Watson, who started River Swale’s sister company in Riverford, Devon. Guy is a keen and experimental cook and will often be thinking about ideas for using the box contents as he writes Riverford’s weekly newsletter. River Swale and Riverford also share a wonderful resource in Jane Baxter, the chef who runs the Riverford Field Kitchen, staff canteen and local primary school meals in Devon. She shares her ideas online and will be thinking forward to what can be prepared from the following week's boxes.
If you are ever going to Devon for any reason, we hope you will sample the Field Kitchen where lunches and dinners feature copious quantities of seasonal vegetables, imaginatively prepared.
We hope soon to get some recipes more local to Swale to correct this southern bias.
